May 1st, 2017 – An Oil for Beltane

Published on May 1, 2017 under Stones - Herbs - Oils

Beltane is the anglicized name for the Gaelic May Day festival. Most commonly it is held on 1 May, or about halfway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. Historically, it was widely observed throughout Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man. It marked the beginning of summer and was when cattle were driven out to the summer pastures. Rituals were performed to protect the cattle, crops and people, and to encourage growth.
Now there are many spells for Youth to return to one for May Day. One is as simple as arising at dawn and rolling naked in the dew of the morning.

However, I want to bring us a spell from Hungary today. This is the Rosemary Youth Spell or Hungary Water. In truth this is more like an anointing oil, but it is very powerful.
Mix the following together:

8 oz. of Vodka
1 oz. Orange Blossom Water
1 oz. Rose Water
1 oz. Rosemary Hydrosol
1 oz. Infused water of Vervain
5 drops of Rosemary essential oil
4 drops of May Chang essential oil
2 drops of German or Hungarian essential oil
2 drops of Spearmint essential oil
1 drop of Neroli essential oil

Blend the oils together in an air tight bottle. Shake vigorously once a week. Ideally let it mature for 6 months. Use the oils on all your chakra points. USE EXTERNALLY ONLY.
